Introduction

The aim of cultural sustainability is knowing, appreciating and encouraging cultural diversity. It is important to acknowledge the impact and role that different cultures have on different societies and how that is reflected on their arts, architecture, literature and history where different cultures provide different places with a personally unique character. Such unique cultures are often the reason driving tourists to visit in order to experience distinctive and authentic cultures.

With the world’s increased focus on the preservation of archaeological sites and the ongoing promotion of architectural and cultural tourism, it is important to become a part of the ongoing efforts and conversations.

One of the objectives of promoting cultural tourism and heritage preservation is to introduce a new understanding of certain cultures and their traditions, lifestyles, education, literature and arts. These are factors that shape the essence of civilizations in the ancient world as well as the contemporary ages. It also aims to destroy the everlasting stereotypes imposed on old or foreign civilizations.

IEREK is organizing its 6th international conference on Cultural Sustainable Tourism (CST) to help researchers consider sustainable approaches of preserving the cultural heritages of countries all across the globe. This conference intends to create a mutual understanding in regards to the importance of green tourism through explaining the various techniques that different civilizations use to spread their cultures. This conference is an opportunity for participants of different cultures and backgrounds to present their unique cultures while also providing them with the opportunity to fully integrate themselves into new cultures.
