Dr. Wesam Taha is a leading expert and central figure in the field of Urban & Planning developments and scattered settlements re-structures and built environments.

Dr. Taha, Holds a PhD degree in Architecture & Urban Design from Alexandria University jointly with the National School of Architecture & Landscape - France (ENSAP).

As an expert in the field of Urban Planning for over 18 years, In addition to his broad professional experience handling and managing mega Urban Planning project and real estate developments located in GCC region, he Leads a professional highly qualified team of Architects and Urban Planners to establish and create mixed use and housing master plans for different housing Projects under the supervision of the Ministry of Housing.

Dr. Taha, participated as a professor& lecturer for several courses for graduates & undergraduates which includes but not limited to Urban Design & Planning, Site Planning & Housing, Environmental Design & Building Technologies and Visual Studies.

He is a consultant for advisory committees with leading national & international institutions in the field of urban planning and urban policies, such as the higher commission for development in Riyadh (ADA), and Ministry of municipalities and rural affairs (MOMRA), and the ministry of housing (MOH) in Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Taha, is one of the highly recognized calibers within the field of conservation and Preservation of Historical & Heritage sites focusing on managing the redevelopment and update strategies frameworks establishment in coordination with the strategical development plans advised by the governmental sectors in Saudi Arabia.

He participated in several International Conferences, during the year 2013 Dr. Wesam has been selected to be the Chairman for the Word Architecture Congress took place in Saudi Arabia, and he participated in the National Built Heritage Forum during 2011 in Jeddah as one of the experts in the field of conservation and redevelopment of national heritage.

He has been selected as a Mentor for the UN-Habitat Urban Youth Fund – United Nations Human Settlement Program (UN-HABITAT). He has been selected by Jeddah Urban & Regional Studies Centre (JURSC) for a managerial role to develop and create Jeddah`s future master plan and development strategies for 2020.
