Sofia-Natalia Boemi
Dr. Sofia–Natalia Boemi is a Post-Doc Researcher since the September 2014 at the Aristotle University’s Mechanical Engineering Department, Greece.
The previous academic year (2013-2014) she was granted with a Post-Doc scholarship at INEGI, an institution affiliated to the University of Porto (UP) that is devoted to industry and oriented to Research and Technology.
She obtained her Doctorate in environmental and energy management in the building sector of hotel in 2011. She has extensive experience in participating and preparing national and European projects.
Since 2006 she was a Senior Research Assistant at the Aristotle University’s Mechanical Engineering Department, Greece and at the consultant and project management company “Alpha MENTOR Ltd”.
Therefore, she is fully accustomed working with deadlines and with the procedure of proposal preparation and implementation of a project.
In parallel, since 2009 she was evolved at the educational activities of the Energy Sector at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and she lectured 2013 in the Democritus University of Thrace about environmental certification and energy efficiency.
Her major capabilities and advantages as a person is socializing, being able to work within a team, creating and maintaining good relations with stakeholders and external partners. Her main research interests are focused in the areas of energy conservation and rational use of energy in buildings, Climate change and energy strategies to reduce energy poverty, and Sustainable tourism and Environmental management in tourist accommodation services.
