António José Pinheiro, completed his PhD in Tourism, Leisure and Culture, in 2018, in the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra.
He has a Master's degree in Tourism, completed in 2012, in the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto. Also has a Degree
in Tourism, obtained in 2003. He is a Professor at the University Institute of Maia (ISMAI), teaching various curricular units in the Master in Tourism, Heritage and Development and in the Tourism Degree.
Practices as a tourism consultant in several Portuguese companies. He is an integrated researcher at the Centre of Studies in Geography and Spatial Planning (CEGOT) and a collaborating researcher in the Centre for Tourism Development Studies (CEDTUR). It has research interests in Tourism, Leisure and Heritage, particularly in Tourism Geography, Transportation and Cultural Heritage.
