An international press conference was held to present the international conference Cities’ Identity Through Architecture and Arts (CITAA) arranged by IEREK and the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University in Cairo opera house May 11 to May 13, 2017. The proceedings of the conference will be published by CRC Press / Balkema of Taylor & Francis Group.
The conference cover 5 main topics, Architectural Identity and Globalization, City as a Scene, City as organism, City as a Subject, and Planning & Approaching the City.
Attended the conference many researchers, and specialists in architecture and art from many universities and international academies, and as well the CEO of IEREK Mourad Amer, Dr. Safia El Kabany the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University, Dr. Rania El Hossary the Vice Dean and Professor of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University, Dr. Yasser Saker the former Helwan University’s president and Dr. Ahmed Hosny the head of the Decor department, the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University
The conference was covered by El Ahram newspaper, El Mwatin newspaper, the head of the cultural department of Rosa El Youssef Newspaper, and O News Agencies (ONA).
