Introduction

Many economies and industries of the world depend on tourism, where it is able to direct the flow of the world. Cultural tourism is a subgroup of tourism that is concerned with many aspects of the city, in which it directly affects tourism, such as Architecture, Arts, and Cultural events such as Rituals, Festivals and any activity that helps convey cultural values. Cultural Tourism consists of getting the visitor in contact with all the spiritual, cultural and folklore traits and characteristics of a space.

Tourism is essential when developing cohesion amongst the world’s populace, as it assists in spreading awareness of the place’s values, languages, customs and traditions to the visitors. Considering that, culture and heritage are two imperative aspects in enticing the tourists, as they maintain their importance as a resource for development, and for improving the economy.

This conference focuses on discussing the complex relations between culture and tourism. It also presents the methods of involving the participation of communities, in preserving, spreading, and improving the cultural heritage for the following decades. As great contributions from planners, architects, and stakeholders are exerted in order to spread the importance and role of cultural tourism and how to maintain it.

This conference aims to balance between the society, environment, and tourism in order to control the negative impacts, and increase the positive ones, which can be achieved through spreading creativity, and cultural diversity, and through increasing and spreading awareness for the importance of cultural tourism. Cultural sustainable tourism (CST- 2020) discusses the complex relations between culture, and tourism, and how planners, architects, and stakeholders help in conveying and spreading the importance and role of cultural tourism and how to develop it.
