Patrizia Ranzo, architect and designer, is full professor of Industrial Design at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”. She is president of the Board of Studies in Design for Innovation, of the same University.

She is a member of the CIAUD International Research Center - Centro de Investigacao em Arquitectura, Urbanismo e Design / Universidade de Lisboa. and has been a member of the board of directors of the Italian Design Society -SID, recognized by MIUR. She has been an honorary member of the Technical Scientific Committee of the Regional Women's Regional Textile Pole of the Campania Region; today she chairs the Fashion Supply Table of the Campania Region. She is the curator of the "Culture del Design " edition for Franco Angeli.

Patrizia Ranzo is coordinator of the Sustainable Industrial Design research unit (SIDE)  and of the "FA.RE. Fashion Research " Lab for innovation in the field of fashion.

She is scientific manager of numerous projects such as AUTOMOTIVE P2P Production (01/01 / 2014-31 / 12/2015) POR Campania ERDF 2007/13 0.0.2.2; MICROCAR Ecocompatible (01/01 / 2014-31 / 12/2015) POR Campania Region ERDF; IBIS project, "Horizon 2020-FON 2014 2020.

As a designer, she obtained several awards in Italy and abroad, and participated in national and international exhibitions; among the most prestigious "Independent Design", Triennale di Milano 2011 and "Quadri di luce", Pavillon Des Arts & Design, Paris 2012.

She is the author of numerous volumes, articles, international and national essays on design, in relation to the contemporary industrial scene (https://iris.unina2.it).
