Nataša Branković

After having finished basic studies in Physical Culture, she enrolled master studies, completed them in 1998 (with average grade 9.8 during the studies) at the Faculty of Physical Culture/now Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, University of Niš, and got academic title Magister of Science in Physical Culture/now Master degree of Sport and Physical Education.

Meanwhile, from 1993 till 1995, she had been part-time engaged at the Music High School in Niš, as a teacher of recreational swimming. After that, she enrolled Ph.D. studies at the Faculty of Physical Culture/now Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, University of Novi Sad, completed them in 2001, and got title Ph.D. in Physical Culture.

At that time, she was engaged as a research assistant on two scientifical research projects: 1. “Health and illness in school children” and 2. “Culture of healthy life” (of the Institute for sociological Research at Faculty of Philosophy, Study Group for Physical Culture, University of Niš).

During her elementary and high school, she was very active in sports, playing basketball and volleyball (in schools sports sections) as well as handball in the Handball Club DIN, which, at that time, organized several friendly matches out of Serbia: Italy, Croatia… As a child, since the age of 8, she trained tennis in tennis club in Niš.

While living in Moscow, she got Martial arts and fitness certificates. Another one Martial arts certificate, she got in Zlatibor (Čigota certificate) several years later.

Since October 1996, she has been employed at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education in Nis, first as an assistant in Physical Education subject. She currently works as a full-time professor at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, University of Niš, teaching four courses.

She has been (several times) professor by invitation at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, University of East Sarajevo, mentor of master and doctoral theses… Since the second semester of the year 2016/2017, she will be engaged at Ph.D. studies at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, University of East Sarajevo, which is going to be open there soon and at Master Academic studies for teaching Physical Education for Lifelong Fitness at the Faculty Sport and of Physical Education, University of Niš.

She has published scientific and professional papers widely on sport and physical education topics in different journal categories.
