Dr Fabiola Safonte is PhD in Agribusiness Economics, Senior Researcher Consultant at several Italian Institutions and Chairman of the Institute for Research and Promotion of the Inner Areas of Sicily (IRPAIS).
Her research focuses on the development of sustainable tourism and new forms of agriculture, on the enhancement of quality of agri-food products and the territorial heritage for local and rural development. She has also a strong interest for issues related on the implementation of new strategies for qualitative and quantitative research for public policies and rural development policies evaluation.
She is planner and teacher in masters and in postgraduate courses and author of several publications in journals and international conferences.
